Children's Favorites I recently read a parenting article on the importance of reading to your children. I immediately identified with the author as she described her early reading to her infant son. I too read to my son when he was an infant, however, my experience was short lived because he has autism. Story time provided him with sensory overload. He could not tolerate being held in such close proximity, and the sound of the reading made him nervous. We went through a period of several years before he would allow me to read to him. Today, it is one of his preferred activities and we snuggle together and read every night. If you experience the same challenges, don't give up. There is nothing more rewarding than reading a book together with your child. The books listed below are children's favorites between 0 to 8 years old.
